Community Driven.

Caldwell Stone has been a part of the Danville and surrounding communities for 90 years. During that time, we have pledged to make a difference in any way possible, from volunteering our time to champion local causes to providing financial support to those in need.

Class Trips

Here at Caldwell Stone, we love hosting field trips. We’ve been teaching kids about the world of rocks for a long time now. Our tours are informative and engaging. This content is interchangeable from elementary to high school students. Visiting a Quarry is a unique experience perfect for many different class types. Give us a call and we’ll bring the hard hats!

City Clean-Ups

Dangerous road conditions happen, and when they do, we’re here to help. From oil spills to ice storms, we’ve committed ourselves to helping clear the streets of Danville. Caldwell Stone provides our equipment, men, and resources to clear snow, salt roads, and soak up oil to provide a safer city for everyone.

Volunteer Work

As a family-run business, we are truly invested in this community. We give back by providing our services (on referral) discounted or free-of-charge to community organizations and individuals in need. Additionally, we often support local causes through fundraising and public backing.

Big Toy Day

Every year Caldwell Stone volunteers our equipment and staff for Wilderness Trail Child Development Center’s annual Big Toy Day fundraiser. We love putting smiles on the kids faces and teaching them about quarries.

Oil Spill Cleanup

We’re regularly called in to clean up the roads. Most recently, we helped the City of Danville clear up an oil spill on the Bypass. We like to think of it as just another way to keep the city safe.

Stone Donation

We often donate stone to where it is needed most. Recently, we helped out by donating stone to help pave the Danville/Boyle County Trail Parking Lot.

Moving a Donated Caboose

We’ve gotten our fair share of strange requests, but this one was up there. We were asked to move a donated Caboose for the Economic Development Partnership and the Industrial Foundation and we happily agreed. We love a challenge!

If you wish to make a request, please use the Contact page and submit a proposal for us to review.  Thank you for reaching out!
