WE CARE. We know that we need to take care of the Earth, so we do our part.

 What We Do:

  • Monthly Water Sampling

  • Dust Suppression and Monitoring

  • Lower Visible Emissions

  • Method 9 Compliance Certified Employees

  • Onsite Certified Wastewater Laboratory Technician

How We Do It:

Caldwell Stone holds both water and air permits through the State of Kentucky. The water permit requires monthly water sampling sent to an outside laboratory for analysis. It also requires us to monitor the amount of water we pump from our pit to an offsite discharge point. This ensures nearby water sources and runoff stay clean and uncontaminated and guarantees that water conservation is at the forefront of our business model.

We want clean air as much as you do. Our air permit requires us to regularly monitor and document our measures to control dust. We use top-of-the-line dust suppression technology in our quarry equipment so that the air we breathe stays clear and safe.

Finally, we also maintain at least one employee at all times who is Method 9 compliance certified and one employee who is a certified wastewater laboratory technician to help us monitor our air and water quality. This is not required, but we are committed to lessening our environmental impact as much as possible.
